Questions Drexel students ask
Which Drexel nursing programs need a preceptor?
All nine NP tracks and their post-master's certificates need clinical preceptors you find and coordinate. The DNP needs a doctorate-prepared practicum mentor, Nursing Education and Leadership have 160-hour practicums, and the RN-to-BSN has 36 planned clinical hours.
Where can Drexel NP students live?
Anywhere in the U.S. except eleven states Drexel can't admit NP students from (see the state guides). New York residents can enroll, with clinicals held outside New York.
Do Drexel's certificates need the same hours as the MSN?
Yes, each NP certificate follows its MSN's clinical sequence and hours, and board-certified NPs adding a specialty may qualify for fewer through Drexel's Gap Analysis.
